Privacy policy

Last updated 29 October 2026. This policy covers kittydevil.com, KittyDevil accounts and the games hosted here.

Who we are

kittydevil.com is run by KittyDevil Studio. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@kittydevil.com.

Wildtide is played on its own website, playwildtide.com, with its own separate account system. This policy does not cover playwildtide.com.

Browsing this website

You can read the studio pages without an account. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking services, and we do not load fonts, scripts or images from other companies' servers. Simply visiting the studio pages does not set any cookies.

Like any website, our hosting provider's servers automatically record technical information about each request — such as your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type — in server logs used for security and to keep the site running.

KittyDevil accounts

If you create a KittyDevil account (used for Tank Survival and our earlier arcade games), we store:

  • your username, display name and email address;
  • your password, stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash — we cannot see it;
  • your account role and status, when the account was created and updated, and when you last signed in;
  • profile and game statistics, such as arcade points, games played and personal bests.

We use your email address and username to let you sign in and to recognise your account if you contact us. We only send email when we reply to a message you have sent us, and we never sell or share your details for marketing.

Usernames and display names may appear publicly, for example on leaderboards.

Playing the games

When you play a scored game such as Bouncy Ball Run, signed in or as a guest, we record each play session and submitted score: the game and version, timings, the score and data used to check it, its moderation status, and the IP address it came from. For guests we store a random guest identifier (hashed) instead of an account. This lets us run leaderboards and detect cheating.

Tank Survival runs on a separate game server that we operate. When you join with your KittyDevil account, kittydevil.com gives that server a short-lived signed ticket containing your account number and username. The game server then stores your in-game progress — vehicle, component condition, inventory and last position — linked to your account number, and may keep technical connection logs.

Some games save settings and local progress in your browser's own storage (local storage). That information stays on your device unless you clear it.

Emailing us

If you email us at hello@kittydevil.com, we keep your message, any attachments and our reply in our studio mailbox, which is held by our web hosting provider, so that we can answer you and follow up. We delete correspondence once it is no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.

When a message arrives, a short notification containing your name, email address and the subject line is posted to a private channel on Discord (a messaging service run by Discord Inc.) that only the studio can see. The message itself and any attachments are never sent to Discord.

We do not use any other cookies.

Why we use your information

  • To provide your account and the games you choose to play (performing our agreement with you).
  • To keep the service secure and fair — preventing abuse, cheating and attacks (our legitimate interests).
  • To meet legal obligations where they apply.

Who else handles it

The website and its database are hosted by our web hosting provider, and Tank Survival's game server by a server provider, who process data on our behalf. New-email notifications are delivered through Discord, as described above. We do not otherwise share your personal information unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account details are kept while your account exists. Play sessions, scores and statistics are kept while they are needed for leaderboards and fair play. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove or anonymise the information linked to it, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. Contact us at hello@kittydevil.com, including your username. There is currently no self-service account deletion, so we handle these requests directly.

If you are in the UK and unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Our games are not designed for young children. Children should only create a KittyDevil account with the permission of a parent or guardian.

Security

Passwords are hashed, repeated sign-in attempts are limited, sign-in sessions are protected and renewed when you sign in, and forms are protected against cross-site request forgery. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Changes

We will update this page if the way we handle information changes, and change the date at the top.
